Vision and Values

Our Vision

Full health is multi-dimensional.  3Well's vision is to to help our patients to be healthy in mind, body and community (in their relationships within their family, workplace and neighbourhood.)   We think General Practice is the best place for this to happen. 3Well is founded by a group of experienced GP’s and its main shareholders are also Doctors.

Our patients are our primary stakeholders and aim to provide a range of Primary Healthcare services that is comprehensive, modern, innovative and of excellent quality.  We will also signpost patients to other services that we consider can help them.

We provide exceptional access to core services by operating an extended hours “walk-in" centre in addition to conventional “by appointment” consultations.

Clinical excellence will be ensured by engendering a culture of continual improvement based on:

  • Listening to what patients are saying about the services we provide
  • Ensuring we remain a Learning Organisation
  • Being a Training Practice.
  • A programme of Continual Professional Development.
  • Rigorous monitoring of our service against all current quality and performance standards; thorough Clinical Governance and audit.

Our Values

  Whole person, whole community care:

  • We seek to ensure whole person health, in every area of human life:
    • body
    • mind
    • emotions
    • where appropriate, spiritually  (recognising and respecting peoples “spiritual history”, background and culture)
    • a healthy relationship between the individual and how he/she fits into the community

Inclusive and accessible :

  • We provide “world class family medicine” to all members of the community, from every ethnic group, faith, gender, age and sexual orientation.
  • 3Well seeks to be at the centre of the community ensuring maximum accessibility and availability to all community stakeholders
  • We especially seek to reach the "hard-to-reach" members of the community, offering dignity, a personal and very caring approach and seeking the higher good for each individual.

Partnership:

  • We seek to operate in partnership with community individuals and groups
  • We work in partnership with the whole community, connecting with partners from a range of well-coordinated voluntary groups in addition to professional and health care services.
  • We seek to contribute through our partnerships with other established community members to further unite and advance the community-family that we serve.

Technical Quality:

We seek to offer a service of excellence, which is patient centred, personal, fair, safe, effective and efficient, close to the patient, and offering choice, through innovation and excellent access. Our service is therefore:

  • High quality
  • Focused on the patient, treating the patient as an individual and with respect and dignity
  • We treat all patients with the same high quality care, appropriate to their needs
  • Our medical care is of the highest modern standards, being safe and effective
  • We will work hard, finding sensible and efficient ways of doing things to ensure the patient gets the best outcomes
  • We will be easily accessible and be open for all the community over extended periods every day, available before and after work both for our own registered patients, but also for all the community including those patients registered with other practices.

Practice Ethos:

  1. To be aware of and seek the higher good. To work efficiently and in a healthy manner, working purely for personal gain is not enough.
  2. Respect: we respect our colleagues; seniors and juniors.
  3. We seek to be transparent, open and honest in our dealings with others.
  4. Hope: we look positively at situations; we think the best and contribute to a positive working environment.
  5. Laughter and fun: innocent fun and humour are important to a good working environment.
  6. Work hard: hard work and persistence are essential if we are to achieve anything worthwhile.
  7. Team: we are committed to working together to make our wok more effective.
  8. Value our patients and staff: we value equally all the patients that we care for and staff we work with.
  9. Correction: Giving and receiving correction graceously is a key to improving our performance and our character.
  10. Seeking Help: It's not good to struggle alone when the going gets tough; we get help when it is needed.
